Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support Course The ACLS course is a training course that covers everything you need to know about advanced cardiovascular life support, from diagnosis to intervention. You will learn in this course:
- How to recognize cardiac arrest, stroke, air embolism and other cardiovascular emergencies
- How to effectively perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and properly use a defibrillator (AED)
- How to manage airways using different devices and techniques
- How to use specific medications and protocols to treat heart rhythm disorders and high or low blood pressure
- How to communicate and coordinate with the resuscitation team
- How to implement comprehensive treatment plans for patients before, during and after hospitalization
The Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) course is a hands-on course, in which you will get a chance to observe, simulate, and solve real scenarios from clinical practice. You will also get feedback from qualified trainers and fellow course participants.
The goals of the ACLS course include advanced cardiovascular life support:
- Patient assessment: Participants learn how to comprehensively assess the condition of an injured patient. They will learn to analyze vital signs, assess cardiac rhythm, interpret ECG readings, and identify acute symptoms and signs for emergency intervention.
- Emergency medical interventions: Participants will learn advanced medical techniques and procedures for treating cardiovascular emergencies. They will learn to administer vital medications, use advanced medical devices, administer defibrillation, and perform emergency surgical interventions when needed.
- Dealing with advanced life situations: The course aims to train participants to deal with advanced and complex life situations. They will learn to identify and manage serious rhythm disturbances, deal with cardiac and respiratory arrest, manage cardiogenic shock, and identify and treat coronary artery blockages.
- Practical training: The course will include hands-on training sessions that allow participants to practice the skills learned in a realistic simulated environment. They will collaborate with other healthcare teams and face realistic scenarios to put into practice and improve their abilities to make quick decisions and react in emergency situations.
- Modernization and continuity: As the healthcare field advances and new technologies and trends emerge, the course will encourage participants to continue to update their knowledge and develop their skills. There may be regular refresher courses or additional educational resources available for participants to maintain the latest information and practices in the field of advanced cardiovascular life support.
Topics covered in the ACLS course include:
- Basic life support skills, including how to perform high-quality chest compressions, use a BVM, and use an AED.
- Early diagnosis and management of respiratory arrest and cardiac arrest
- Early diagnosis and management of signs of possible cardiac arrest, such as symptoms of bradycardia.
