EMTC’s First Aid course is a specialized training course that aims to provide participants with the skills and knowledge needed to provide immediate and early first aid in health emergencies. The First Aid course is characterized by providing integrated practical and theoretical training covering a wide range of topics related to first aid. Trainees are taught how to provide appropriate assistance in emergency situations.
EMTC's first aid course aims to achieve the following objectives:
- Provide participants with emergency response and first aid skills in health emergencies.
- Promote awareness of potential health risks and teach proper ways to deal with them.
- Teach participants how to deal with common emergencies such as injuries, bleeding, burns, and electric shock.
- Provide hands-on training in the use of first aid tools such as bandages, CPR, and artificial respiration.
- Familiarize participants with advanced first aid procedures and dealing with emergency situations.
An EMTC-accredited first aid course consists of several modules covering a variety of important topics.
Some of the course modules include:
- Principles of first aid and initial patient assessment.
- Treating emergency situations such as trauma, severe bleeding, and burns.
- Cardiopulmonary resuscitation and cardiopulmonary resuscitation techniques.
- Dealing with fractures and orthopedic and musculoskeletal injuries.
- Handle common emergencies such as stroke, diabetes, and asthma.
- Administer emergency medications and provide first aid for poisoning.
- First aid for babies and children.
- Dealing with emergencies in non-medical environments such as accidents and natural disasters.
