This course will develop the trainees’ skills in reading basic ECGs and ECGs in emergency cases. This course focuses on ECG reading which often requires emergency medical care.
1. Record the ECG using the instructions
2. Supraventricular arrhythmias - atrial fibrillation, atrial flutter, atrial premature contractions, junctional tachycardia: effects on the patient and treatment
3. Ventricular arrhythmias - ventricular arrhythmias, ventricular tachycardia, ventricular tachycardia, ventricular fibrillation: effects on the patient and treatment
4. Atrioventricular block, sinus block, and atrioventricular block (rhythm)
5. Acute coronary syndromes
6. ECG, various changes
